Chocolate Matcha!

Updated: Apr 30, 2021

There's nothing better, in my opinion, than curling up on the couch on a nice snowy day, sipping a warm drink and relaxing. This hot drink was created for that exact scenario! Filled with powerful and natural energizing super foods- this drink will give you the energy you need to last the whole day. BONUS: you won't experience a caffeine 'crash' once it wears off!

Matcha: A type of green tea. Contains caffeine and provides many health benefits, including, but not limited to- high level of antioxidants, helps with brain function, helps control weight and more!

Cinnamon: A super food that is loaded with antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, helps with blood sugar levels, and more!

Maca powder: a root found in the cruciferous family. Loaded with vitamins and minerals, can help with energy levels, increases brain function, helps with mood, and more!

Cacao powder: A super food shown to be high in polyphenols (an antioxidant that reduces inflammation, helps with blood sugar levels, and lowers cholesterol.) It also improves brain function, mood, weight control and more!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp. Matcha powder

  • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp. Maca powder

  • 2 tsp. Cacao powder

  • 10-20 drops liquid stevia (we like the sweet leaf brand!)

  • 12-14 oz. dairy free milk (we used macadamia nut milk)

  • 1/4 tsp. Vanilla (optional)

Instructions:

  • Heat up your macadamia nut milk either in the microwave or over the stove.

  • Add your stevia (to taste) and the vanilla to your milk.

  • In your favorite mug, mix together your matcha powder, cinnamon, maca powder and cacao powder.

  • Pour the warm milk over your powdered mix and stir well to combine.

Enjoy!
